About the Property

Located on 40 acres of rolling meadows and forests, Crooked Mountain Cabins are an easy 20-minute drive from the Wasagaming townsite of Riding Mountain National Park. The cabins were relocated in the early 2000s from Mooswa Resort in Wasagaming to their current home.

The cabins offer a serene atmosphere for nature enthusiasts looking to enjoy the property’s beauty or visitors to Clear Lake Country looking for tranquility after a day at the townsite. Crooked Mountain Cabins is home to many wildlife, fungi, and bird species, including the Great Grey Owl - making us a popular destination for birdwatchers, artists and photographers.

Our guests enjoy hiking the private 2 km trail loop, fishing in the nearby creek, biking on country roads, golfing in Clear Lake, photographing wildlife, and much more.

Treaty 2 Territory

Crooked Mountain Cabins is located on Treaty 2 territory, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Assiniboine, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.

Due to our remote location, cell service is not available. However, each cabin has high-speed internet to allow guests to communicate using Skype, Zoom, and Facetime.

About Olivia & Andy

Olivia and Andy have been running Crooked Mountain Cabins since the summer of 2021, following their marriage earlier that April. They took over from the previous owners, who had been running the business for 12 years.

Olivia and Andy were initially drawn to the property’s peaceful setting and raw natural beauty. The spacious landscape will allow them to one day build a home there, living close to nature and raising their children while hosting interesting people from all over the world.
